I just got a new/used 2k Savage and had the same problem and it was annoying the hell out of me. This is what I did. I took off the tank and got to the 3 bolts that hold the speedo on. Pulled the speedo out and taped up the studs on the speedo and then greased them up really good along with the springs. Put it all back together again and no more squeals! Now time to decide what pipe to put on it to change that put put sound :)
